Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Inticka Investment Limited collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

Last updated: 17 August 2026

Who we are

Inticka Investment Limited (“Inticka”, “we”, “us”) is a software company based in Kenya.

For the purposes of the Data Protection Act, 2019 (Kenya), Inticka is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at reachus@inticka.com.

What we collect

We collect only what you choose to send us. Specifically:

  • Contact form submissions. Your name, email address, company name if you provide one, and the content of your message.
  • Direct correspondence. Anything you include when you email or telephone us.

We do not use advertising trackers, analytics cookies or third-party marketing pixels on this website. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across other sites.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs — including IP address, browser type and the pages requested — for security and to keep the site running. These logs are retained by the provider for a limited period and are not used to identify individuals.

Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To answer your enquiry. We process your contact details to reply to you. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact our business.
  • To keep records. We keep correspondence about projects and quotations so we have an accurate account of what was discussed and agreed.
  • To protect the site. We use technical measures, including a spam trap on the contact form, to prevent abuse.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you contacted us.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent needed:

  • Netlify — website hosting and form processing.
  • Telegram — contact form submissions are delivered to a private internal Telegram channel so that we see and answer enquiries promptly. Only Inticka personnel have access to that channel.
  • Email provider — for correspondence you send to or receive from us.

Some of these providers operate outside Kenya, which means your data may be transferred and stored abroad. We only use providers who apply recognised security standards to data in transit and at rest.

We may also disclose data where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

How long we keep it

Contact enquiries are kept for up to 24 months from our last exchange with you, after which they are deleted unless they form part of a contract or a record we are legally required to retain. Records relating to concluded engagements are kept for as long as required by Kenyan tax and company law.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to:

  • be informed of how your data is being used;
  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your data, where we have no continuing lawful reason to keep it;
  • object to processing, or ask us to restrict it; and
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.

To exercise any of these, email reachus@inticka.com. We will respond within the statutory period. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (Kenya).

Security

This site is served exclusively over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered to a private channel that only authorised Inticka personnel can read. Access to our systems is restricted and protected by multi-factor authentication.

No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send passwords, financial account details or other sensitive credentials through the contact form.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and uses no third-party analytics. Nothing about your visit is stored in your browser by us.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18 through this site.

Our applications

Applications published by Inticka on the Apple App Store and Google Play are governed by their own in-app privacy policies, which describe the data each application handles. This policy covers this website only.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we use data you have already given us will be notified to you directly where we hold contact details for you.
